What’s New On The 2021 Version of the Suburban
The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban is the first edition of a new generation of this powerful SUV. You’ll see updates like an independent rear suspension that creates more cargo and passenger room with the new version. It also introduces more standard tech, an air suspension, and a new Duramax diesel engine option.
How Many Trims Are There?
There are six trims on the new Suburban: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country.
What Engine Options Are There?
The Suburban comes standard with a 5.3-liter V8 on all models except the High Country trim. This top-of-the-line trim is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8. Chevy also offers a 3.0-liter inline-six turbodiesel on all trims except the Z71.
How Much With The New Suburban Cost?
Depending on how you build your Suburban, you can expect to spend a little over $50,000 on the base-level trim. The top-level model starts at just over $70,000.
How Is It’s Fuel Economy?
To the surprise of many, the EPA estimates that the Suburban will offer a similar fuel rating as the shorter Chevy Tahoe. The 5.3-liter engine should bring in 16/20/18 mpg city/highway/combined. The 6.2-liter engine comes in at 15/20/17 mpg.
Is the New Suburban Bigger Than Older Models?
The 2021 Chevrolet Suburban is the largest SUV to ever wear the Chevy name. It has an overall length of 225.8 inches, which is bigger than its previous versions. Because of the added independent rear suspension, there’s an extra 42 inches of legroom and an additional 41.1 cubic feet of cargo space with all seats in the upright position. With all of the seats down, this SUV offers 145 cubic feet of total cargo space.

I was greeted by Tristan when I arrived. He is always a pleasure to interact with. However Darcy was my service advisor. I had to ask her to apply the web discount that was being offered. This is my second interaction with her and I always have to ask for the web discount to be applied. This is where I purchased my car and have had all my oil changes. I've never had to ask for the web discount to be applied with my previous advisors. I'm not sure I'm returning if she remains my service advisor.
They ordered the part promptly. When it didn’t arrive and I was getting ready to drive from an hour away they contacted me so I wouldn’t drive all that way. When it came in they contacted me.

Did not properly install bed cover purchased on the Chevrolet website. Does not lie level and the lock does not engage on one side. The bed cover flys open at highway speeds.

First visit was supposed to get the oil change and steering checked out was only able to get the oil changed. Had to reschedule to come back to get the steering checked out they diagnostic as a steering issue I needed to go to the dealer went to the dealer Hyundai for them to tell me it was something different than what they said, and I had to pay another diagnostic fee $200. Not happy with all the run around and extra money I had to spend.

Internet buyers beware!! My father Scott, purchased a 2024 corvette with 5478. Miles from Ray skillman Chevrolet and had it shipped to California in an enclosed trailer. When I received the car off the trailer it had a ABS light on. Drove it up the hill to my house and the check engine light, transmission light along with other warning lights came on.
