What Size SUV Do You Need?

Looking at the 2024 Chevy Trax vs. Blazer, you’ll see a similar style, but each of these Chevys brings something different to the table. Find out more at Ray Skillman Chevrolet.

Is Bigger Better?

The recent Trax redesign made it larger than before and made to look more like the Blazer. If you need an SUV with room for five people, you can’t go wrong with either of these, but you’ll have a little more room in the Blazer. Your rear-seat passengers might enjoy having some extra personal space.

If you’re all about hauling cargo around, the Trax has a 25.6 cubic foot cargo space, while the 2024 Chevy Blazer has 30.5 cubic feet behind the second row and 64.2 cubic feet if you fold the rear seats down.

Get Just a Little More

Since we are comparing the Trax and the Blazer, it’s worth noting that with the Blazer, you get more standard features. Both have cloth upholstery, but you can use the power adjustment to find your perfect driving position in the entry-level Blazer, while in the Trax, you’ll have to manually get there. The heated front seats in the Blazer are a standard feature, but you can get these just by bumping up to the 2RS with the Trax.

Ready to Get Sporty?

Whether you prefer the 2024 Chevy Trax or the Blazer, you can get the sporty RS version. With the Blazer, this means a torque-vectoring all-wheel-drive system to make it more agile, and the V-6 engine has 308 horsepower. Of course, it also has black exterior trim to give it that bold, sporty look.

The Trax version of the 1RS has gloss-black exterior trim and a flat-bottomed steering wheel, so you can feel like you’re in a sports car. The Trax also has the 2RS if you want to add heated front seats and a heated steering wheel.

Tech for Fun and Information

Both the Trax and the Blazer have the tech you want, no matter how much time you spend on the road. The Blazer’s 10-inch touchscreen comes loaded with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and satellite radio. A 4.2-inch driver information display comes with the Sound and Technology Package, and if you ever need to plug something in when you’re away from home, the RS’s 12-volt power outlet will come in handy.

The Trax has similar tech. An eight-inch touchscreen houses wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto in the entry-level models, but just a couple of steps up to the LT gets you the larger 11-inch touchscreen. Bumping up to the LT or one of the other higher trims will also get you a digital gauge cluster, putting all the information you need right in front of you while you drive.

Now that we’ve laid out some of the similarities and differences in a comparison of the 2024 Chevy Trax vs. Blazer, you can come to Ray Skillman Chevrolet and take each of these SUVs out for a test drive and choose the one that fits you!
